Keenlyside's most notable stint was his role as the (Interim) Mothercare PLC - Retail Transformation. Reporting directly to the board, he performed a strategic review of legacy ERP and store systems and delivered business cases to migrate to SAP across all retail business functions and supply chains.


A Leader in IT Strategy and Digital Transformation

Richard's experience extends beyond retail. As an IT Director for a nationwide chain of 445 Convenience, Locals, and Central stores, he managed a large team of 80 people internally and outsourced, delivering projects across the UK. His primary responsibilities included IT and change within the Convenience, Locals and Centrals, and acquired companies, implementing, supporting, and expanding replacement systems with a focus on Convenience and Main Supermarkets.

In the era of digital transformation, Richard has been at the forefront, providing CTO/CIO Advisory and developing 'Same Day Delivery' Strategy for Argos. He has also been involved in over fifteen global mergers and acquisitions across multiple territories, preparing the IT and Data infrastructure for future acquisitions, ensuring seamless integration and alignment with strategic vision.
